nasty behaviour with multiple desktops

I do recall running into this, though I don't remember how recently, or
which version of XEmacs.

I frequently run into a similar problem with 21.4, where the *Shell
Command Output* buffer is not made visible on the current desktop if
it's visible in a frame on another desktop.  21.5 doesn't have that
particular issue, fortunately.
