Identify XEmacs build from Mercurial changeset

Er, the big bug I'm referring to is lack of any hg identifier in the
version string.  Please commit anything that doesn't break the build
and does get a reasonable facsimile of the hg revision hash into the
version string for a clone of the repo. :-)  We can worry about
improving the definition of which hash we want for non-clones, and
making the interface more elegant, later.
