No, it's not the attitude.  It's the lack of support for the platform,
which is due to a lack of Windows developers, which is due to the fact
that Windows doesn't generate XEmacs developers (almost all of the
people who did all the work were actually Unix geeks in Windows drag
because their day jobs demanded Windows).  The same applies to Mac
except worse (both Andrew Choi and David Reitter have testified that
they've seen no major platform-oriented contributions from *anyone*
else, Unixoid cross-dressers included).

Speak for yourself, bro.  Mike said it's acceptable to support the
platform conventions *fully* (although he'd prefer .xemacs), but you
want DWIM.  It's the DWIM I'm objecting to, I'm a full +1 on
supporting platform conventions by default on all platforms (that
means FHS where applicable, too).
