Caveats so far (which may seem obvious to some):

* You need to select the section of your message to
  be signed.

* If sending from gmail, use plain-text, not rich formatting

* Beware long lines. If gmail wraps the message after
  you've signed it, the fingerprint is no longer the same
  (since characters have been added to the message)
  Therefore, the signature based on the pre-wrap
  fingerprint is no longer valid.

* If sending from something other than gmail to
  a gmail account, be sure PGP/MIME is off: The
  signature must be in-line, rather than an attachment
  in order for gmail to know what to do with it.
