hi yhslug community,

last night i happened to spot a spoof video i created for youtube was chosen
as an editor's pick in the News and Politics category. i grabbed a quick
screenshot, knowing that the editor pick videos rotate.

     see http://www.writersforliteracy.org/youtubeeditorspick.png

(see video of me with the red bow-tie in the top right section of this screen.)

        the original video is at

i gotta say that while it's fun having one's video chosen as an
editor's pick, that youtube provides almost no information to video uploaders
regarding when their video is going to be featured on the site. youtube is
pretty good at treating its users as mushrooms -- keeping you in the dark.

matt good, maybe you can nudge youtube in the direction of more
courteous treatment of its users. the company's current operating style is so
20th century. that's a disconnect with all the other good things about youtube.

             - phil
