Linux Audio was my main motivation for getting into the Free Software
world 7 years ago (gasp! has it really been that long?). Unfortunately,
I'll be in Berlin on March 16th preparing for the 5th annual Linux Audio
Conference: http://www.kgw.tu-berlin.de/~lac2007/index.shtml

As with the previous 2 years, I'll be assisting with the live video and
audio streaming of this year's conference. 

As for creating a local free software music/audio community, I would
very much like to see that happen.
