Jeff gives me too much credit. My only recommendation is to seek out
UBCD -- "The Ultimate Boot CD" (http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/). Burn
yourself a copy, and experiment. The CD's a wild and woolly collection of
repair and rescue software thrown together with little documentation if
any. Here be dragons. However, on occasion with lots of breath-holding,
it's gotten me out of a few jams.
