   and here's a new article about the japanese government moving to open source.

The Japanese government wants to go open source, as a way to rely less on a
single vendor IT software infrastructure. And plenty of vendors are lining up to
help make this happen.

      i wonder how many years it'll take  for the united states government to
follow the japanese.  5 years? 10 years? 15 years?
