Subject: [Novalug] FYI - Novell East Linux Newsletter is Available
To: Northern Virginia Linux User's Group <Novalug at calypso.tux.org>

For those that are interested, I just wanted to let you all know that
we've now got a Novell-specific newsletter related to Linux in the
East. It is published approximately 2x each month and is a "best-of"
format related to articles from our blog (
http://opseast.wordpress.com). While the content is pretty much
focused on the Novell and SUSE world (tips/tricks, news and events),
there is also quite a bit of "generic" content related to Linux and
OSS.

TO get more info, keep reading.
TO subscribe, visit http://www.novell.com/company/subscribe and look
for "Linux Newsletter for the Eastern USA".
TO unsubscribe at anytime just click the link at the bottom of every
newsletter.

Rather than spam everyone with the actual newsletter I'll just give
you an idea of what to expect...

For example, we published an article that talked about using
OpenOffice in Education (
http://opseast.wordpress.com/2007/05/11/openofficeorg-in-education-a-roundup/)
which had links to OOo tutorials, deployment advice, and other useful
links. Another example, we published an article that talked about
several ways to create a PDF with free, open source, and commercial
apps ( http://opseast.wordpress.com/2007/05/22/creating-pdfs-with-free-open-source-and-commercial-apps/)

Here's the table of contents from the newsletter that was published
earlier this week:

+ OpenOffice.org in Education: A Roundup
+ Dell Joins Microsoft and Novell Collaboration
+ Run SAP on SLES with integrated enterprise support
+ Interview with Michael Meeks of Novell's OpenOffice.org Team
+ Podcast on SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time
+ What OpenOffice.org-Novell Edition offers...
+ HOW-TO: Monitoring Linux System Performance - Part 1
+ HOW-TO: Tools for Comparing File Differences
+ Success Story Spotlight - What do these 12 have in common??
+ UPCOMING EVENTS
+ Just For Fun
+ Did You Know...
+ Also Of Interest...
+ Reference Links

If there are any questions, feel free to let me know.
